What is coinpricebet?
It's just what it says - betting on coin prices. We talk about cryptocurrencies, of cource. Whenever a coin price changes, someone wins, other lose.
What is XLM?
coinrpicebet operates on
Stellar Blockchain, which makes it decentralized. Bets are placed by sending
Stellar Lumens (XLM) to specified Stellar accounts. Winnings are sent back to source accounts.
Is it safe?
We don't ask you for any sensitive information like private keys so yes, it is safe.
What are the rules?
You should predict how a particular pair (e.g. BTC / USD) price changes in the next 5 minutes. If you think that the price will go down, place a bet on 📉 Drop. Otherwise, if you feel that the price will grow (or stay the same), bet on 📈 Gain.
In the case of successful guess 100% of your bet is immediately returned back and afterwards (usually in matter of seconds) you'll get additional 80% as profit; otherwise, the bet is lost.
How can I trust you?
Both Javascript application (the one you're looking at right now) and our server use the single source of average market prices (
min-api.cryptocompare.com), so its impossible for us to manipulate the data.
Additionally, all transactions are transparent on Stellar blockchain.
Why is the chart so slow?
Currently the only convenient free source of average historical prices is
Cryptocompare, and it allows only per-minute data. Also the data is delayed for 45 seconds to respect the caching period.
What if there is no enough funds in the pool when my bet wins?
100% of your successful bet is returned anyway. However, sometimes the pool could be dry. In that case your profit will be splitted and payed out later as soon as the corresponding pool fills. You can watch pool balances on
